Richard Seltzer

Award

TSUC presented its first recognition award to Mr. Richard Seltzer of the Americans with Disabilites Act (ADA) Committee of Pike County, for creating an environment of inclusion. Most notably, Richard was instrumental in making the wheel chair lift at the Columns Museum a reality.

Norm Gasbarro, TSUC Chairperson, presented the award to Richard at the ADA meeting on June 13th.

Maureen Giordano, Democratic Committee Chair of Pike County, was the featured speaker at the meeting and the topic was "People with Disabilities in the Political Process."

Nonprofit Status 501(c)(3) - News Release
         
Our application for nonprofit status was submitted to the IRS in June, 2002 . The IRS granted approval in July, 2002 and required an amendment to our articles of incorporation. The amendment was filed with the state in October, 2002 and the state approved the amendment in January, 2003.

TSUC Funding and Support
         

TSUC has received support of $500 or less per year from the following -

Delaware Township Democratic Club in Memory of Mother of Luis Barrios to help work against bigotry and intolerance (2008).

Pocono Action Lambda Society (2001- present)
Schering-Plough Corporation (2005- present)
United Way of Pike County (2003 and 2004*)
Individual Private Donors

TSUC is a volunteer and non-profit (501c3) organization. Donation to TSUC are tax deductible and can be made at our mailing address or via PayPal. Otherwise, TSUC does not nor has ever solicited funds from individuals or the general public.

Our meetings are held once a month in the Dingman Township Branch of the Pike County Public Library on Log Tavern Road since 2003. Our meetings were previously held at the United Methodist Church on Ann Street in Milford. TSUC appreciates these organizations for there but is not affiliated with them.

*Specific project was not done and monies were returned.
